ECWC Rules

1. ECWC is a semi-booked E-Fed, this means that positions in the federation and wins are generally decided by quality of RP, however angles play an equally important part in the process. As such from time to time characters may lose or be asked to lose to further a particular angle by the fed head. ECWC is basically no different to RAW each week, we tell a story, you the players influence that story through your RP, but the main purpose of the fed is to entertain, not to be "won".

2. ECWC Comes Before Individuals. The fed head has unlimited power to enforce this.

3. RP in ECWC is judged by set criteria on a scale as described below:

4. Once a decision is made on a match outcome IT WILL NOT BE ALTERED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. If you feel aggrieved then talk to the fed head BY E-MAIL, not on the boards. Everyone will lose at some point in their ECWC career, the object of the game is fun, not wins and losses.

5. You may RP upto 3 characters: Either a singles competitor and a Tag Team or A Tag Team with manager if required or simply a Singles competitor with or without a manager. These limits will not be changed for anyone. You may form Tag Teams/Stables with other players however the Fed Head must be told in advance of any alliances.

6. You must ask permission before using any other handler's characters (active or NPC) in posts; this must be forwarded to the Fed Heads before posting. You are allowed to send a 'standing' authorisation for certain handlers to use your characters and this is required for stables and two handler teams.

7. The fedheads/ staff WILL RP THEIR OWN CHARACTERS as a general rule they will only hold gold where an angle would require it or if a particular division needs a boost. Fed head characters lose, but they will win matches, if you are beaten by one, don't pout, use it to you advantage.

8: Titles & Title Shots are a privelage, not a right. Contenders will be determined by the fed heads based on RP, Commitment and Angle, so if you aren't getting a title shot you feel you deserve, don't get mad about it, wait your turn and it'll come if you're patient.

9. If you have a problem, tell us…I am approachable with any concerns over the game, our performance or other handlers. We don't bite… All we ask is that you do the same. All polite, reasonable, e-mailed complaints will be treated fairly and without prejudice. At the end of the day we all want to have fun… Flaming on the RP or OOC boards is NOT ALLOWED EVER!!!. People who do are liable to be expelled from the game!

10. Swearing on the boards or cards is permitted provided symbols are used after the first letter.

There are five titles at present in ECWC they are: -

1. ECWC World Heavyweight Championship: The World Champion is the top man in the fed, he is there because he consistently shows quality RP and Storylines.

2. ECWC World Tag Team Championship: This is the best team in the fed, they are there because they consistently show quality RP and Storylines and are dedicated to the Tag Team Division.

3. ECWC Intercontinental Title: This is open to all wrestlers, the champion shows consistent quality in RP and storylines.

4. ECWC Light-Heavyweight title: This belt is open to all wrestlers under 230lbs, the champion is there because he consistently shows quality RP and Storylines and is dedicated to the Light heavyweight division.

5. ECWC Hardcore Title: This belt is contested in a 24/7 manner. Anyone can challenge for the belt by applying to Rob. The combatants have 3 days to RP. After which a decision will be made and a "match" will be placed either on the boards or on the next availible card. The Hardcore championship takes great skill and constant attention to hold onto.

With the exception of the World Title, to be eligible for one of the above, your character must wrestle 5 matches in the relevant division. All characters are eligible to wrestle in the world title division regardless of whether they hold a title already. Titles must be defended at least three times per month including one defence at every PPV.

Champions are expected to post at least 3 times per week without fail. Failure to do so without prior notice may result in being jobbed or stripped.

In the event of a vacant title a tournament or Battle Royal will be held as soon as is practical, involving all eligible wrestlers/team. The wrestler stripped will NOT be allowed to take part.

When a new title is created, a Tournament or Battle Royal will be held to crown the new champion..

Titles are a privilege, not a right; Champions are expected to treat titles as such. If your character loses a title, don't sulk, work on your RP's…Titles are not transferable, although every champion has the right to forfeit WITHOUT prejudice or penalty.

Titles will change hands as often as is necessary, there can be new champs every week..... If your reign wasn't as long as you hoped...tough....work harder on getting another one....

The ECWC calendar runs on a yearly scale.

We have 1 card per week 'ECWC Uncut'.

Generally, only one of a handlers characters will appear on of these shows per week. As a rule that weeks cards will be announced on a Tuesday, and be released Monday. RP will be counted up until midnight on Friday; Strats must also arrive by this time.

Each month we hold a Pay Per View event: These will generally be the last week of the month. Normally, during these cards ALL titles will be defended. It is envisaged that these cards will involve 6-8 matches; storylines, champions and RP quality will determine places on a PPV. Places on a PPV are not a right. Match requests will be accepted on the understanding existing storylines/feuds take priority.

For each card your wrestler participates on you must produce a Strategy (Strat) Sheet. This details what you want your wrestler to do during the card and during your match. This must be e-mailed no later than midnight on Friday.

You MUST use the Strat Sheet Format below for your strat to be considered. · The Subject Line Of your mail must have your character name, the card & date it is for (i.e. *Strat: Joe Bloggs, Mayhem: 7/11/00* · You MUST provide two versions of your match strategy in your e-mail, what you would like to happen if your character wins or loses.

Your strats main purpose is to reflect the way your character would approach the match. · You MUST provide a ring introduction for your character, this can be a standard intro or can be changed each match. Save your intro in your Word Processor if it is a standard one. It saves time ·

You then have to write some spots. Spots are play-by-play action that can be inserted into your match so for example

Dale: RVD whips Taylor into the ropes, RVD leapfrogs him, Taylor catches RVD with that Capioera kick.

JR: Taylor seems to have his head screwed on, RVD seems to be concerned about highlight reels...

Dude: Give it some time, Taylor will go for the risk when it comes.... He always does......

Dale: Taylor with a that patented ropeflip moonsault...... Covers.......

Dude: 1..........2..Quick Kickout

Dale: Taylor claps his hands at the Undertaker.....

JR: You won't win that argument Rob, concentrate on your...... RVD from the top!!! Missle Dropkick, Taylor is down..... why isn't RVD covering?

You need to provide around 5 minutes worth of action for insertion ANYWHERE into the match. Please do not write the finish.

REMEMBER: Strats are not guaranteed to be included, all strats will be considered before the final card storyline is written. The Fed Head decision is final.

For each card you may also send in an interview for inclusion in the card. The interview must be no more than 150 words and may take place at any point on the card. Interviews should be treated the same as RP's in that quality rather than quantity matters and that they should be relevant advance your characters story. Your Strat email should under a separate heading of Interview.

You MUST also state who will be conducting the interview and where it takes place in the opening lines. You may also request one match on the card you want your character(s) to 'run in' on.

A run in may take the form of interfering in a match or your wrestler appearing in a non-wrestling role (Commentator, Referee, Accompanying another handler's character etc). You MAY NOT use run-ins to attack another handler's character 'behind the scenes' or to intentionally 'injure' any ECWC character. These run-ins will be ignored. As with interviews you should specify the role you wish to take, the match in question and on whom you wish to interfere.

PLEASE NOTE: You can send in run-ins & interviews for any card, whether you have a match or not, provided they include the above information & you are not suspended from play.

Interviews and Run-ins are not guaranteed to be included on a card. All interviews & run-ins will be considered before the final card storyline is written.

The Fed Head's decision is final. Well that's covered nearly everything; the next step is to submit your character. You may e-mail Rob or Andrew with any questions you may have. And most importantly HAVE FUN!!!
